122 new candidates are selected into provincial “Double Innovation talent” this year，making the total of 1236 in an accumulative manner.

The number of valid patents for invention owned per 10,000 capita was 66.90, an increase of 8.85 from the previous year. The number of PCT patent application reached 3121 and 4 items won the China Patent Gold Award, accounting for one-tenth of the total in the nation.
The Suzhou branch of the National Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Guidance Center was set up. The city pioneers in establishing an intellectual property operation association in the country.
