Initiatives to enhance Jiangnan Culture have proved successful and the doubling plan for Suzhou's cultural sector has seen its implementation. The west gallery of Suzhou Museum, the China National Silk Archives has been completed and opened to visitors. At the end of 2021, Suzhou boasts 11 cultural centers, 11 public libraries and 93 cultural stations.
Focusing on the core fields of industries such as animation, gaming, films and televisions, the city blazes a new trial in the fields of creative design, performing arts, cultural tourism and art & crafts and advanced cultural manufacturing. The business revenue of its cultural enterprises above designated size has risen by 15.2% over the previous year. The influence of the Flagship Store of Suzhou Fine Crafts in Shanghai Exhibition Center, "Jiangnan Small Theatre" has increased significantly. The third China Suzhou Jiangnan Cultural Festival & International Tourism Festival and the third Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Expo were hosted in the city. A Digital cultural platform "Jun Dao Suzhou" is built to offer one-stop consulting service on culture and tourism.
